Illinois Pro-Worker Laws Signed By Governor Pritzker
The St. Louis Labor Tribune brings us the good news that Pro-Worker legislation has been passed and signed by Democratic Governor Pritzker of Illinois…
“Every day, we see President Trump roll back the protections and rights that working people in the Labor Movement have spent decades fighting for,” said Illinois AFL-CIO President Tim Drea. “In 2022, Illinois voters enshrined the Workers’ Rights Amendment into the Illinois Constitution. Today, we continue these efforts by putting workers’ first and telling the White House that all workers deserve a safe and fair workplace.”
Illinois House Bills 1189 and 2488 and Senate Bill 1976 will help preserve current pay standards and worker protections in the face of rollbacks from the federal government under the Trump administration, according to the governor’s office.
Good Government is like Christmas in August.
