Today’s Retiree Meeting: Trust, Cancer Survivors, and Local Candidates!
The UAW Local 2250 Hall was decked out in pink to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Of course, that was just a part of the goings-on. Representatives from the VEBA Trust were on hand to make a brief presentation and answer questions.
A highlight of the meeting was retiree chapter members that have survived cancer being recognized. Chapter President Marva Richardson invited all members that had survived to stand and be honored. She shared her story and how cancer was a personal journey and those that had made it had a bond of experience and knowledge that can’t be broken. A enthusiastic ovation topped off this emotional event.

October is also election season and two local 2250 members are running for State Representative. Don Looney in District 63 and Dave Rogers in District 102. Both districts are in the Wentzville/New Melle area. Dave and Don had the opportunity to share their pro-worker message with the retirees. The hall also has yard signs for both these candidates, Yes on 6, and NO on A! Stop by any weeekday between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm. and pick one up. You can make a difference.

The November retiree meeting will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2026. Come on down!
