The median income figure is the salary at which half of the state earns more and half earn less.  So the question for members of UAW Local 2250 is which side are you on? Let&#8217;s run the numbers&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UAW: Base pay is $38.07 + a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of $1.10 per hour = $39.17<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s multiply that $39.17 x 2080 annual work hours (52 weeks @ forty hours a week) = $81,473 a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s compare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">UAW Annual Pay:        $81,473<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Missouri Median Pay: $56,200<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Difference:   UAW +    $25,273<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, Well, Well a UAW member at GM is well above the median salary in Missouri &#8211; $25,273 above!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, what about union dues?  Yeah, the UAW member would of paid $1,175 in dues for the year.
