How Starbucks Workers DEFEATED Company’s Union-Busting
Starbucks’ union-busting scheme was exposed by the workers they hired to carry it out. Starbucks tried to spoil union votes in Buffalo, New York, and Arizona by flooding stores with new workers. Then the company changed its training policy, isolating the new hires in closed stores and warning them about union “bullies.” But organizers with Starbucks Workers United fought back in a way the company didn’t expect: by being nice to their coworkers.
