Profit Per Truck Means No More Broken Promises
GM Authority brings us something we all want to know – Here’s How Much Profit GM Makes On Full-Size Trucks and SUV’s.…
According to a new report from Reuters, The General has the potential to earn as much as $7.5 billion from sales of ICE-powered trucks and SUVs through 2035. This comes out to $10,678 per vehicle on average before accounting for interest and taxes.
Keep in mind that when the plants are running a vehicle is produced approximately every minute! These profits, being spent on CEO and executive pay, stock buybacks, and shareholder dividends while leaving the wages of workers that build the product to stagnate and decline in purchasing power are a primary cause of frustration. If GM had lived up to the promises made in the past, months long strikes would not be necessary.
