Your Votes Made It Happen – Mo. Minimum Wage Now $12.00
Starting Jan. 1, 2023 the Missouri minimum wage is $12.00 per hour according to the Missouri Department of Labor. The day that made this day happen was election day in 2018 when Missourians voted to increase the state minimum wage. Missouri workers thank you for taking the time and making the effort to make this happen.
The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations announces the state minimum wage rate for 2023 has been established, according to state law, at $12.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2023.
Pursuant to Proposition B, which was approved by Missouri voters on November 6, 2018, the minimum wage will increase 85 cents per hour each year through 2023. All private businesses are required to pay at a minimum, the $12.00 hourly rate,
